On April 26, a total of 55,282 students in Azerbaijan will participate in the final graduation examinations for the level of general (9-year) secondary education.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the State Examination Center (SEC) that comprehensive measures have been taken to ensure the inclusivity and security of the process. According to the SEC, 79 students with physical disabilities, including those with visual impairments, hearing loss, and cerebral palsy, will take part in the exams. Special examination halls have been allocated to ensure their comfort, and individual supervisors have been assigned to assist students with 81-100 percent visual impairment. Furthermore, specific training has been provided to proctors working with participants with disabilities to facilitate a seamless examination environment.
To manage the large-scale event, 240 examination buildings and 4,171 halls have been prepared across the country. The administration of the exams involves a staff of 926 supervisors, 5,197 proctors, 731 security personnel responsible for the admission regime, and 240 building representatives. The examinations will be held in various districts of Baku, Sumgait, Nakhchivan, and Lachin, as well as in Ganja, Gədəbəy, and the liberated territories, including schools in the villages of Aghdara.
Graduation exams in Azerbaijan serve as a standardized assessment to evaluate the knowledge and skills of students at the end of their lower secondary education. These exams are a critical component of the national education system, determining the eligibility of students to continue their studies at the upper secondary level or transition into vocational education. In recent years, the SEC has focused on digitalizing the process and expanding examination centers to the liberated regions of Azerbaijan to ensure equal access to education services nationwide.
The examinations are scheduled to begin at 11:00. The admission process will conclude at 10:45, exactly 15 minutes before the start time. Participants arriving after the admission regime ends will not be permitted to enter the examination buildings.
