Azerbaijani shooters return from European Championship with bronze

Azerbaijani athletes who performed successfully at the 16th European Shooting Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia, have returned home.

Family members and representatives of the Deaflympics Committee welcomed the athletes at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Twenty-one athletes representing nine countries and one neutral team competed in the 10-meter air pistol event at the championship.

Two Azerbaijani athletes competed in the final. Deaflympics team member Ali Iskandarli finished third, while Nicat Azimov took fifth place.

The European Shooting Championship is an international competition that brings together athletes from across the continent in various shooting disciplines. The event provides competitors with an opportunity to gain international experience and represent their countries at the highest level of the sport.
