The Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), Anaclaudia Rossbach, has expressed her gratitude to Azerbaijan and all organizers of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13).
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Rossbach made these remarks during a ceremony regarding the preparations and the upcoming hosting of the prestigious event in Baku. She highly commended the organizational efforts and the commitment shown by the Azerbaijani government in facilitating this global platform for urban development.
The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Hosting WUF13 in 2026 underscores Azerbaijan's growing role in international diplomacy and its commitment to the New Urban Agenda. The event is expected to bring together government officials, urban planners, and civil society leaders to Baku to discuss the future of cities and sustainable housing solutions.
