President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, on the occasion of the country's national holiday.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter states:
“Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the national holiday of the Swiss Confederation, I extend my most sincere congratulations to you and your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
We attach great importance to the development of friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland. I believe that we will continue to make joint efforts to strengthen our interstate relations and cooperation in line with the interests of our peoples.
On this festive day, I wish you good health, success in your endeavors, and the people of Switzerland lasting prosperity and well-being.”
Azerbaijan and Switzerland maintain long-standing diplomatic relations, characterized by active cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres. Switzerland has historically played a constructive role in regional diplomacy, and both nations continue to engage in dialogue aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for partnership in energy and trade sectors.
