Hava şəraiti ilə bağlı xəbərdarlıq: intensiv yağışlar gözlənilir

The National Hydrometeorology Service has issued a weather warning for Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, forecasting intermittent rain from the evening of May 29 through the morning of May 30.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, meteorologists anticipate that rainfall may intensify in some areas of the peninsula, accompanied by lightning.

Starting from the afternoon of May 29, unstable weather conditions are expected to spread across Azerbaijan's northern and western regions, continuing intermittently until the afternoon of May 31. The forecast warns of short-term intense precipitation, lightning, and hail in various locations. In high-mountainous areas, snowfall is possible, with a high probability of increased rainfall intensity on May 29.

Authorities have advised caution, noting that the expected precipitation could lead to increased water levels in rivers, with a potential for short-term flooding and mudflows in some mountain streams. Due to these unstable weather conditions, temperatures across the country are expected to drop by 3-6 degrees Celsius compared to previous days.

The National Hydrometeorology Service regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide timely warnings to the public, ensuring safety during periods of adverse weather in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
