Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has held a meeting with the country's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, to discuss national security and internal stability.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Masoud Pezeshkian touched upon this matter during a meeting with officials from Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

The President stated that his meeting with the Supreme Leader was held in a sincere atmosphere and an environment of mutual respect. "I recently held a meeting with the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, and the discussions lasted approximately two and a half hours," the Iranian President said.

According to the Iranian President, the primary objective of "enemies" has been to create public dissatisfaction, incite people to take to the streets, weaken the management structure, and ultimately partition the country. "However, the Iranian people, together with the army, law enforcement agencies, and security forces, managed the situation in the best possible way and did not allow these scenarios to materialize," he added.

This high-level meeting comes at a significant time for Iran as the administration navigates complex domestic economic issues and regional geopolitical tensions. The Supreme Leader holds the highest authority in the Islamic Republic, exercising final say over all state matters, including foreign policy and military strategy. President Pezeshkian, who assumed office following the 2024 elections, has consistently emphasized the necessity of maintaining national unity and strengthening the coordination between the executive branch and the clerical leadership to ensure the country's territorial integrity and internal order.
