Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is scheduled to hold a series of high-level bilateral meetings and engage with Turkish business representatives during his official visit to Russia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing sources within the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and addressing pressing regional issues.
During his visit, Hakan Fidan is expected to hold formal negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The agenda also includes meetings with Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Russian President, and Igor Levitin, an advisor to the President. Furthermore, Fidan will engage in discussions with representatives of the Turkish business community operating in Russia.
The visit, scheduled for June 16-17, will focus on the current state of Ankara-Moscow relations, regional and international security concerns, and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is anticipated that Minister Fidan will reiterate Turkey's readiness to facilitate new peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
