İsrailin Livana hücumu: 7 nəfər həlak oldu, 54 yaralı var

Seven people were killed and 54 others, including eight children, were injured following an Israeli strike on the Al-Jana neighborhood in southern Beirut on April 6, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), that the casualties occurred during a series of intensified aerial operations targeting the southern outskirts of the capital.

The Israeli military had previously issued urgent evacuation orders for residents in southern Beirut and various locations in southern Lebanon, advising civilians to move north of the Zahrani River for their safety. In response to the strikes, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted Israeli military positions and equipment along the border regions between Lebanon and Israel.

The escalation comes amid a period of heightened regional instability. Since late 2023, the border between Israel and Lebanon has seen frequent exchanges of fire, leading to significant displacement on both sides. International mediators have repeatedly called for a diplomatic resolution to prevent the conflict from expanding into a full-scale regional war, emphasizing the need for adherence to international humanitarian law regarding the protection of civilians in conflict zones.
