İlham Əliyevin sammitdə iştirakı: Bakı və İrəvan üçün yeni mərhələ

The participation of President Ilham Aliyev in the European Political Community summit signals the formation of a new atmosphere in relations between Baku and Yerevan.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that European Council President Antonio Costa made these remarks during a joint statement with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen following the Armenia-EU summit in Yerevan.

According to Costa, a stable and prosperous South Caucasus is a fundamental pillar for the region's future. "The participation of President Ilham Aliyev in yesterday's summit of the European Political Community is an indicator of a new atmosphere between your countries," he stated. He further emphasized that the European Union remains committed to supporting peace and normalization processes in the South Caucasus, working closely with regional partners to build a sustainable future.

The European Political Community (EPC) serves as a strategic platform for political and security discussions across the continent, bringing together leaders from EU and non-EU states. Azerbaijan has consistently utilized this forum to advance its agenda of regional integration and to clarify its position on the post-conflict landscape in the South Caucasus. The ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia remains a focal point of international diplomacy, aimed at establishing a formal peace treaty and unblocking regional transport communications following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
