Paşinyan: Sərhədin delimitasiyası davam edəcək

The process of border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan is set to resume in the near future, according to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The Prime Minister emphasized that both nations are moving toward finalizing the technical aspects of their shared border to ensure long-term stability and security in the region.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenian media, reports that Pashinyan noted that a 12-kilometer section of the border has already been successfully demarcated. He confirmed that Armenian border guards are currently stationed and performing their duties in these specific areas. The Prime Minister added that the delimitation and demarcation work will proceed shortly and is expected to be completed within a "reasonable timeframe."

The delimitation process is a critical component of the broader peace negotiations between Baku and Yerevan following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. This technical procedure involves defining the exact coordinates of the state border based on historical and legal documents. Successful delimitation is viewed by the international community as a vital step toward signing a comprehensive peace treaty and ensuring the sovereignty and security of both nations in the South Caucasus.
