On June 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the “Heydar Aliyev and Garabagh” exhibition at the Creative Center in Shusha, which was restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the “Heydar Aliyev and Garabagh” exhibition features photographs, documents, and video materials reflecting the National Leader’s contributions to the political, economic, social, and cultural development of the Garabagh region. The display includes archival photos of the National Leader’s historic visits to the region and his various meetings and events held there.
The exhibition’s exposition illustrates the significant transformation period in the history of Garabagh and East Zangezur, beginning in 1969. Through various visual materials, visitors are introduced to the extensive reforms implemented by Heydar Aliyev across all sectors of regional life during complex historical periods. The exhibition also screens the film “Iz” (Trace), which chronicles the life and political legacy of the National Leader.
Shusha, often referred to as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, holds significant historical and symbolic importance. Following its liberation in 2020, the city has become a focal point for large-scale restoration projects and international diplomatic events, underscoring Azerbaijan's commitment to revitalizing the liberated territories and promoting regional cooperation.
