President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Eurasian National University

President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Yerlan Sydykov, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU), on the occasion of the institution's 30th anniversary.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the rector and the entire staff of the university. In his message, President Ilham Aliyev highlighted that since its inception, ENU has traversed an honorable path, achieving significant success to become one of Kazakhstan's leading higher education institutions and a prestigious center for science and education in the region.

"Thanks to the professionalism of the faculty and an innovative approach to the organization of the educational process, ENU is today considered a symbol of high-quality education and a globally significant educational institution. Many graduates of the university contribute to the development and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan," the letter stated. President Ilham Aliyev also noted with pride that he has held the title of Honorary Professor of this distinguished institution for 22 years, expressing confidence that the university will continue to strengthen its position among the world's elite academic institutions.

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, located in Astana, Kazakhstan, was established in 1996 and has since become a cornerstone of the country's academic landscape. Named after the prominent historian and ethnologist Lev Gumilyov, the university maintains strong international ties, particularly within the Turkic world and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The exchange of such high-level diplomatic correspondence underscores the deep-rooted educational and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, reflecting the strategic partnership and mutual respect shared by the two nations.
