Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, has issued a stern warning to the United States following recent incidents in the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Ghalibaf stated that the US will pay a heavy price for actions on Qeshm island that resulted in the deaths of civilians. He characterized Washington's move as an attempt to compensate for failures on the battlefield, emphasizing that attacks against the civilian population will not go unanswered.
The Iranian official further noted that such actions by the US in the region will have consequences, and Washington will be held accountable for its deeds. Ghalibaf's remarks reflect the ongoing geopolitical tensions between Tehran and Washington, which have frequently escalated due to military posturing and regional influence struggles in the Middle East.
