At least 14 people have been confirmed dead following the collapse of residential buildings in the city of Tripoli, Lebanon. The incident has caused significant casualties and prompted an immediate emergency response in the affected area.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media reports, notes that new details have emerged regarding the scale of the tragedy. Rescue teams operating in the Bab al-Tabbaneh district in the northern part of the city successfully pulled eight survivors from the rubble, providing them with urgent medical assistance. Authorities have confirmed that search and rescue operations have now been officially concluded.

This tragedy marks the second such incident in Tripoli in recent weeks, highlighting growing concerns over the safety and structural integrity of aging residential infrastructure in Lebanon. Tripoli, the country's second-largest city, has faced significant economic challenges that have impacted urban maintenance and building safety standards. Similar incidents in the past have often been attributed to unauthorized construction, lack of maintenance, or damage sustained during previous periods of instability in the region.
