While most regions of Azerbaijan experienced dry weather, some mountainous and foothill areas saw intermittent rain and lightning during the evening and night hours.

According to the latest update from the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 11:00 on August 29, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, precipitation occurred in various locations, occasionally taking the form of short-term downpours.

Rainfall measurements were recorded as follows: 8 mm in Balakan; 7 mm in Kalbajar and Gadabay; 5 mm in Dashkasan; 4 mm in Goygol; 3 mm in Goranboy; 2 mm in Sadarak; and up to 1 mm in Shaki, Tovuz, Shahdag, Shamkir, Ganja, Nakhchivan, Sharur, and Shahbuz.

Wind conditions also varied, with north-westerly winds observed in several areas. Maximum wind speeds reached 20 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 17 m/s in Julfa, and 16 m/s in Nakhchivan.

Temperature readings remained relatively high, with maximums reaching 31°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 36°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 35°C in the Aran regions, and up to 25°C in mountainous areas.

The National Hydrometeorological Service continues to monitor these unstable weather patterns, which are typical for the transition periods in Azerbaijan's diverse climatic zones, where mountainous terrain often influences localized weather events.
