The price for a one-way ticket on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku passenger train will start from 81 AZN, providing a key transport link between the capitals of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed of the new pricing structure by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY). According to the official statement, minimum fares for other stations along the route have also been set: Yevlax–Tbilisi at 67 AZN, Ganja–Tbilisi at 62 AZN, Aghstafa–Tbilisi at 57 AZN, and Boyuk Kasik–Gardabani at 51 AZN.
Trips along this international route will be operated using modern Stadler trains. Compared to the older rolling stock decommissioned in 2019, these new-generation sleeper cars are characterized by high comfort, modern interiors, individual service, and travel conditions that meet international standards.
The resumption of the Baku-Tbilisi rail service is a significant step in enhancing regional connectivity and tourism between Azerbaijan and Georgia. Historically, this route has served as a vital artery for passenger transport in the South Caucasus, supporting economic ties and cultural exchange. The introduction of Swiss-made Stadler trains aligns with Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to modernize its transport infrastructure and integrate into the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
