Azerbaijan and Islamic Development Bank sign cooperation agreements

Azerbaijan and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group have signed a series of cooperation agreements to strengthen economic ties and support development projects.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the signing ceremony took place on June 18 within the framework of the opening of the Islamic Development Bank Group’s 2026 Annual Meetings held in Baku.

The documents were signed in the presence of President Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser.

The Islamic Development Bank is a multilateral development finance institution that has been a key partner for Azerbaijan since the country joined the organization in 1992. These agreements are expected to further enhance the investment climate in Azerbaijan, focusing on infrastructure, sustainable development, and economic diversification projects aligned with the country's national development priorities.
