Schools in Azerbaijan will prohibit clothing elements that disrupt the uniformity of the established school uniform or do not comply with the secular principle of general education.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Cabinet of Ministers has amended the document titled “Descriptions of the uniforms of students at state general education institutions.”
Under the decision, students will not be allowed to wear clothing that disrupts the uniformity of the prescribed school uniform.
In addition, other clothing elements that do not comply with the secular principle of general education will also be prohibited in schools.
Uniformity to be maintained in students’ clothing
The amendment aims to ensure compliance with the school uniform established for educational institutions. This means that students will face restrictions on wearing additional clothing elements that differ from the approved school uniform and disrupt its uniformity.
