Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC is implementing additional measures across its intercity routes to ensure passenger demand is met efficiently and reliably during the summer season, a period characterized by increased travel and vacations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing ADY, the frequency of trains on the popular tourist route Baku–Gabala–Baku will increase from two to four trips per week starting June 6. Regular services will now operate in both directions on both Saturdays and Sundays. Furthermore, starting July 4, the Baku–Gabala–Baku route will include a stop at Ujar station, providing regional residents and passengers with improved access to railway services.

To accommodate the rising demand for travel to the western regions during the summer, train services on the Baku–Aghstafa–Baku route will operate every Saturday and Sunday until August 31.

Additionally, the schedule for the Baku–Balakan–Baku route will be adjusted effective July 1. Trains will depart from Baku at 23:30 (previously 23:50) and from Balakan at 21:10 (previously 22:00).

These operational changes reflect Azerbaijan Railways' ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure and enhance service quality for both domestic travelers and tourists visiting the country's scenic regions.
