Azerbaijan has officially advised its citizens to refrain from traveling to the State of Israel due to the escalating tensions and the current security situation in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) issued the warning as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of Azerbaijani nationals abroad.
According to information provided by the MFA to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citizens currently residing or staying in Israel are urged to exercise extreme caution. "Our citizens currently in Israel are requested to closely monitor the security situation, comply with the instructions and recommendations of local authorities, stay away from mass gathering areas, and strengthen personal security measures," the official statement noted.
In case of emergencies, the Ministry has instructed citizens to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the State of Israel via the following channels: email at [email protected] or by phone at +972 54 539 77 88. This advisory comes amid a broader trend of diplomatic missions in the Middle East heightening their security protocols. Azerbaijan maintains a proactive approach in protecting its citizens globally, frequently updating travel advisories in response to geopolitical shifts to prevent any potential risks to its personnel and nationals.
