Repair and restoration works will be carried out on several key roads in Baku to ensure the comfortable and safe movement of citizens. According to the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, the project aims to improve the infrastructure and operational condition of the city's transport network.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that, based on the current state of the road surfaces, maintenance is scheduled for the following areas:
- Rashid Behbudov Street (from Shamsi Badalbayli Street to Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Street);
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue (from Muzaffar Narimanov Street to Khalil Rza Uluturk Street, in the direction of the Koroglu metro station, in sections);
- Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh Street (from Asad Ahmadov Street to Akim Abbasov Street);
- Samad Vurgun Street (from Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Street to Fuzuli Street);
- The road leading from the Baku Ring Road to the Meyvali Trade Center.
The works are scheduled to take place from 23:00 on April 17 until 06:00 on April 20. During this period, vehicle movement in the specified areas will be partially restricted. Drivers are requested to treat the ongoing works with understanding and strictly adhere to the requirements of temporary road signs and traffic regulations.
These infrastructure improvements are part of Azerbaijan's broader urban development strategy to modernize the capital's transportation systems. In recent years, Baku has seen significant investment in its road network to accommodate increasing traffic volume and enhance connectivity between residential and commercial districts. The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads regularly conducts such maintenance to prolong the lifespan of the asphalt coating and ensure international safety standards are met across the city's thoroughfares.
