Azerbaijani police officers seized a significant cache of illegally possessed firearms and ammunition during operations conducted in the capital and various regions of the republic on April 7. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the seized weaponry included 4 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 3 grenades, 12 shotguns, 11 ammunition magazines, and 459 cartridges of various calibers.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the MIA confirmed these items were taken into evidence as part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that operational and preventive measures aimed at detecting and seizing illegally held firearms are continuing across Azerbaijan.
