At least two people have been killed and 33 others injured as severe storms and intense rainfall swept across Türkiye.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Haber Global, reports that the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) released the latest figures regarding the casualties. A "yellow warning" has been issued for 51 provinces across the country due to the adverse weather conditions, which include torrential rain, snow, and powerful gales.

Türkiye frequently experiences extreme weather events during seasonal shifts, often resulting in significant disruptions to infrastructure and transportation. Emergency services and local authorities remain on high alert, advising residents to exercise caution and follow official safety protocols as the weather system continues to impact various regions. The disaster management agency continues to monitor the situation to mitigate further risks to public safety.
