Armenia and France have signed a declaration on strategic partnership during an official visit to Paris. The document was signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron, marking a significant shift in the bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenpress, the signing ceremony followed a private one-on-one meeting between the two leaders at the Élysée Palace. The discussions focused on deepening military-political cooperation and expanding economic ties between the two countries.
France has increasingly positioned itself as a key security partner for Armenia in recent years, providing military equipment and training. This growing alliance comes amid shifting dynamics in the South Caucasus region following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. Baku has previously expressed concerns regarding the militarization of the region and has called for a balanced approach to ensure long-term stability and peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
