Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads in Baku, causing delays for commuters across the capital.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in Azerbaijan's capital.
As of the latest update, heavy traffic is observed at the following locations:
- 1st Lake Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue side road, towards the "Koroglu" metro station;
- 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Binagadi highway, towards the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
- Mikayil Mushfig Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards School-Lyceum No. 20;
- Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Afiyaddin Jalilov Street, towards Yusif Safarov Street.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to optimize urban mobility. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and utilize alternative roads where possible to avoid delays during peak hours in the capital.
