The bodies of 84 Iranian sailors who lost their lives in an incident off the coast of Sri Lanka have been repatriated to their home country. The repatriation process was conducted via a special flight following the completion of identification procedures.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Defense of Sri Lanka released an official statement regarding the transfer. According to the report, the identified sailors were killed on March 4 during an attack carried out by the United States on the Iranian naval vessel "IRIS Dena." A dedicated aircraft was organized to transport the remains back to Iran for burial.
