Mətbuat Şurası Rusiyanın Azərbaycana qarşı təhdidlərini pislədi

The Press Council of Azerbaijan has issued a formal statement condemning the dissemination of offensive and threatening materials against the Azerbaijani state, its people, and leadership within certain Russian media outlets. The Council characterized these actions as contrary to the principles of civil journalism, ethical norms, and humanitarian values.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the statement emphasizes that such incidents are being observed consistently within the Russian information space. The Council asserts that these actions contradict the spirit of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as established media cooperation standards.

The Press Council highlighted that the Azerbaijani media has historically maintained a respectful approach toward neighboring countries, including Russia, avoiding unprofessional rhetoric. The Council warned that the systematic appearance of such material, particularly given the strict legislative regulation of the Russian information space, raises concerns regarding the tacit approval of such narratives. The body called for immediate measures to address these provocations, which threaten to undermine friendly relations between the two nations.
