Sidonda 8 nəfər öldü: Livanda ümumi itkilər 1530-a çatdı

At least eight civilians have been killed and 22 others wounded following an Israeli strike on the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing preliminary data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, reports that the casualties occurred as military operations intensified across southern Lebanon. The Israeli military has continued to target various regions, issuing urgent evacuation orders for residents in the city of Tyre, specifically within the Al-Abbasiya and Shibrikha districts. Displaced persons are being directed to move north of the Zahrani River for safety.

According to official statements from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the humanitarian impact of the escalation has been severe. Since March 2, the total number of fatalities in Lebanon has reached 1,530, with 4,812 individuals reported injured. While diplomatic efforts continue in the broader region, officials noted that current ceasefire discussions between the United States and Iran do not encompass the conflict in Lebanon, suggesting that military engagements are likely to persist in the near term.

The conflict in Lebanon escalated significantly after the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group began launching rocket strikes into Israel, drawing the country deeper into the regional Middle East crisis. In response, Israel has conducted extensive air and ground operations aimed at neutralizing militant infrastructure. The ongoing violence has led to a massive displacement of civilians and a growing humanitarian crisis in the southern Levant, as international observers call for de-escalation to prevent further loss of life.
