47 illik düşmənçilik: ABŞ senatoru İrana qarşı çağırış etdi

"The United States must finish the work it started in Iran."

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Bloomberg, that these remarks were made by US Republican Senator Roger Marshall.

The Senator emphasized that the United States must "finish the job started in Iran" to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Marshall noted that while tensions in the Strait of Hormuz could impact fuel prices, US President Donald Trump's policy regarding Iran must be maintained. According to him, this is a "necessary step for the protection of freedom and future generations."

"Sometimes freedom is not free. Iran has been hostile toward the US for 47 years. We must stand up to them and finish the job. We cannot allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons," the Senator stated. He further claimed that if Iran were to obtain nuclear weapons, energy prices could surge, a long-term blockade could occur in the Strait of Hormuz, and US security would be placed at significant risk.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical oil transit chokepoints, with approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption passing through the waterway daily. Tensions in the region have historically led to volatility in global energy markets. The US administration under US President Donald Trump has consistently advocated for a "maximum pressure" campaign to curb Tehran's nuclear ambitions and regional influence, citing national security interests and global stability.
