Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast on February 8, with mostly dry conditions prevailing throughout the day.

According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, fog is anticipated in some areas during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a prevailing north-westerly wind. The temperature in the capital will range from 3–6°C at night to 6–9°C during the day, with atmospheric pressure dropping from 753 mm Hg to 749 mm Hg.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to remain largely rainless; however, intermittent precipitation and snow are forecast for mountainous and foothill areas during the daytime. The National Hydrometeorological Service noted that precipitation may intensify in certain districts, with fog and occasionally strengthening western winds also expected across various parts of the country.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, an agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric conditions across Azerbaijan to provide essential data for agriculture, aviation, and public safety. Such fluctuations in February weather are characteristic of the region's transitional climate, where maritime influences from the Caspian Sea meet continental air masses, often resulting in localized fog and rapid temperature shifts in high-altitude zones.
