The draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League has been held in Nyon, Switzerland, determining the potential opponents for Azerbaijani clubs in the upcoming stage of the tournament.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the path for Azerbaijan's representatives in the competition has become clearer following the ceremony.
“Neftchi” is set to face the winner of the match between “Dinamo” (Minsk, Belarus) and “Sileks” (North Macedonia) in this round. Meanwhile, “Zira,” provided they successfully eliminate Georgia’s “Torpedo” in the first qualifying round, will face the winner of the tie between “Hegelmann” (Lithuania) and “Paide” (Estonia).
The UEFA Conference League, established in 2021, serves as the third tier of European club football, offering clubs from across the continent an additional opportunity to compete in continental tournaments. The first leg matches of the second qualifying round are scheduled for July 23, with the return legs set to take place on July 30.
