Marko Rubio: Azərbaycan və Ermənistan münaqişəsi başa çatdı

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has declared that the long-standing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has officially concluded.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this statement was made during a hearing at the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

During his address, Rubio stated that the conflict between the parties has not only ceased but has been resolved through an agreement that paves the way for a new phase of cooperation. He noted that the signed memorandum of understanding is considered to have laid the foundation for a "new path leading to prosperity" in the region.

Rubio emphasized that this process creates new economic and political opportunities for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, potentially yielding benefits while respecting the sovereignty of the nations involved. The development follows the remote signing of the TRIPP Framework Agreement on June 4, which was executed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia remains a critical priority for regional stability in the South Caucasus. Following the liberation of Azerbaijan's territories and the restoration of its territorial integrity, the focus has shifted toward the signing of a comprehensive peace treaty, the delimitation of borders, and the opening of regional transport corridors, which are essential for long-term peace and economic integration in the region.
