Hungary will provide a $30 million grant for the restoration and reconstruction of Soltanli village in the Jabrayil district of Azerbaijan. This initiative marks a significant step in the ongoing international cooperation for the redevelopment of territories liberated from occupation.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this project was highlighted in the Cabinet of Ministers' report for 2025. A "Letter of Approval" regarding the acceptance of the grant funds has been signed between the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Hungary Helps Agency. The document, which focuses on the reconstruction of residential buildings within the framework of the Soltanli village construction project, has been officially approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The restoration of Soltanli is part of the broader "Great Return" program initiated by Azerbaijan to revitalize the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions. Hungary's involvement follows a series of high-level diplomatic engagements between Baku and Budapest, reflecting the strategic partnership between the two nations. The project aims to create modern living conditions for former internally displaced persons, integrating sustainable infrastructure and contemporary urban planning in the Jabrayil district.
