Leyla Aliyeva visited the home and farm of local beekeeper Zafar Azizov during her trip to the Guba district to become closely acquainted with the family's agricultural activities.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva engaged in a warm conversation with the family and inquired about their daily operations and beekeeping traditions.

Zafar Azizov provided extensive information about his beekeeping experience and the family's "Balli Petek" brand. The farmer noted that he began his professional activity in 1997 with only two bee colonies and has since expanded the farm to include 200 colonies. Since 2010, the family business has been supplying May, forest, and mountain honey to the market. To ensure high-quality production, the bee colonies are seasonally moved across the Khachmaz, Shabran, Gusar, and Guba regions.

With an annual production capacity of 2-3 tons, the farm produces not only honey but also beneficial products such as royal jelly, pollen, and bee bread. Additionally, the farm is involved in breeding pedigree queen bees. During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva directly participated in the process of making natural candles from beeswax alongside the hosts. At the conclusion of the meeting, Zafar Azizov and his family expressed their gratitude for the attention shown and presented a commemorative gift.

The Guba district, located in the northeastern part of Azerbaijan, is renowned for its rich agricultural potential and diverse flora, making it one of the country's primary hubs for high-quality honey production. Supporting local family businesses and traditional crafts remains a key component of the socio-economic development strategy in the regions of Azerbaijan, fostering sustainable rural growth and preserving national heritage.
