Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the agreement reached between Washington and Tehran could lay the foundation for a new era of peace in the Middle East.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Hakan Fidan made these remarks during a press conference held following his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The Turkish minister noted that Ankara believes the agreement reached between the US and Iran will contribute to regional stability and security. "We believe that this agreement could pave the way for a new regional peace," Fidan emphasized.
He also highly valued the role played by Pakistan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia in the negotiation process. According to the minister, the diplomatic initiatives of these countries were of significant importance in ensuring the successful outcome of the talks. "Their diplomatic initiatives were of great significance," Hakan Fidan added.
The Middle East has long been a focal point of complex geopolitical dynamics, with tensions between the United States and Iran significantly influencing regional security architectures. Diplomatic efforts by regional powers, such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia, have frequently served as crucial channels for de-escalation, aiming to mitigate conflicts that have historically impacted global energy markets and international security.
