Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has outlined Tehran's primary demands in the latest proposal submitted to the United States.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Iranian media, that the statement was made during a meeting with members of the parliament's national security and foreign policy committee on Tuesday.
According to Gharibabadi, Iran's demands include the lifting of all sanctions, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and an end to the maritime blockade imposed by Washington. The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the proposal also stipulates the cessation of hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon, as a fundamental condition for progress.
Furthermore, Gharibabadi stated that the Iranian side is seeking compensation for damages incurred as a result of the conflict, the withdrawal of US forces from the regions surrounding Iran, and the annulment of both unilateral sanctions and relevant UN Security Council resolutions. He reaffirmed that Iran's negotiating team will not compromise on the country's right to uranium enrichment.
The presentation of these conditions comes at a pivotal moment in international diplomacy as US President Donald Trump leads the American administration's foreign policy. Since January 2025, the administration has faced complex geopolitical challenges in the Middle East, with Tehran's latest demands highlighting the deep-seated tensions regarding nuclear capabilities and regional influence. These developments are being closely monitored by global powers as they assess the potential for renewed dialogue or further escalation in the Persian Gulf region.
