İlham Əliyev: Azərbaycan və Ermənistan sülhə təkcə kağız üzərində nail olmayıb, o realdır

Azerbaijan and Armenia have achieved a peace that exists not only on paper but is reflected in reality, President Ilham Aliyev stated during a joint press conference with the President of the European Council, António Costa.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that significant progress has been made in the normalization process between the two nations. "We have seen enormous potential, especially in trade, over the past seven months. We did not achieve peace only on paper; it is real. Sometimes peace remains merely on paper, but our situation is different; there is active progress," the head of state remarked.

The meeting highlights the ongoing efforts to establish long-term stability in the South Caucasus following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The normalization process includes the delimitation of borders and the opening of regional transport communications, which are expected to transform the region into a vital hub for international trade and cooperation. The European Union has frequently acted as a facilitator in these high-level discussions, supporting a sustainable and lasting peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan.
