President Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the congratulatory message states:
"On the occasion of the national holiday of the French Republic, I convey my congratulations to you and all your people.
Our recent telephone conversations and our meeting in Copenhagen last year, during which we held productive discussions on the issues on the Azerbaijan-France agenda, the current state of our bilateral relations, and future prospects, give grounds to say that a new era has begun in the history of our interstate relations.
I believe that we will continue our joint efforts in a spirit of partnership for the development of our relations, which have deep historical roots and rich traditions, in economic, cultural, educational, and other areas of mutual interest for the benefit of our peoples.
On this holiday, I wish the people of France peace and prosperity."
France and Azerbaijan maintain diplomatic relations that encompass various sectors, including political dialogue, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation. High-level interactions, such as the mentioned meetings, serve as a platform for both nations to address regional developments and strengthen bilateral ties within the framework of international cooperation.
