Azerbaijan and Georgia are committed to the further strengthening of bilateral relations and strategic cooperation across all sectors, President Ilham Aliyev announced during a joint press statement.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a press conference following a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. "We are confident that Georgia-Azerbaijan relations will continue to develop steadily from now on. We always support each other in all international organizations. As the Prime Minister noted, we have always supported, continue to support, and will always support each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of our borders," the head of state emphasized.

The relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia serves as a cornerstone for regional stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus. Both nations cooperate extensively on large-scale energy and transport projects, including the Southern Gas Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which connect the Caspian Sea region with European markets. This strategic partnership is reinforced by a mutual commitment to international law and the principle of territorial integrity, ensuring a unified stance on regional security challenges.
