Hakan Fidan: “Sülh Şurası” gələcəkdə daha mühüm quruma çevriləcək

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has spoken about the future activities of the officially established "Peace Council" for the Gaza Strip during a press briefing at the World Economic Forum in Davos. According to the minister, this body is set to play an increasingly critical role on the international stage over time.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, reports that Fidan described the Council as a vital platform where various countries attempt to reconcile differing perspectives.

“The Peace Council is a venue where many countries come together to find common ground. This process requires serious diplomatic negotiations and effort. The conflict on the ground has now been moved to the negotiating table,”

the minister stated.

Fidan also emphasized that the first brief meeting with Council members took place in Davos, with the primary focus directed toward the delivery of humanitarian aid. He noted that a committee composed of Palestinians has already commenced its work, and the first initiatives are expected to be implemented shortly.

The World Economic Forum (WEF), held annually in Davos, Switzerland, serves as a premier global platform for political, business, and academic leaders to address pressing international issues. In the context of the ongoing Middle East crisis, the establishment of the Peace Council represents a multilateral diplomatic effort to stabilize the region and ensure the sustainable flow of humanitarian assistance to affected populations. Azerbaijan, maintaining its principled position on international peace and security, closely monitors such global diplomatic initiatives that promote regional stability and humanitarian relief.
