Google's advanced artificial intelligence model, Gemini, has been officially launched in the Azerbaijani language, marking a significant milestone in the country's digital integration. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport released information regarding this strategic update.

As part of a global expansion, the Azerbaijani language was selected as one of 23 new languages added to the platform. This development allows users in Azerbaijan to utilize Gemini's capabilities in their native language alongside major global languages. The Azerbaijani interface is already active on the web version, with full mobile support provided for both Android and iOS platforms. Additionally, the Gemini Live feature, which enables real-time voice conversations, has been made available to local users.

The company also announced the introduction of advanced creative tools such as Nano Banana and Veo to the Azerbaijani market. Nano Banana allows users to transform simple ideas into high-quality visuals and edit existing images using natural language commands. Meanwhile, Veo is a sophisticated model capable of generating high-quality 1080p videos with synchronized sound, following complex creative instructions with precision.

To enhance productivity and education in Azerbaijan, three specialized functions have been introduced. Canvas provides a dedicated workspace for writing and coding, facilitating collaboration on complex projects. The Deep Research model assists in investigating intricate topics by synthesizing data from multiple sources into comprehensive reports. Finally, Guided Learning helps users master new subjects through interactive tests adapted to individual learning styles.

The integration of the Azerbaijani language into global AI platforms like Gemini reflects the growing importance of the local digital economy and the increasing demand for localized high-tech solutions. This move is expected to accelerate digital literacy and provide Azerbaijani students, researchers, and creators with world-class tools to compete in the global digital landscape. The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport continues to support such initiatives to ensure that Azerbaijan remains at the forefront of technological innovation in the region.
