A "Consultative Meeting" is being held in Baku between representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO within the framework of the Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme (IPCP) planned for 2026.

The Ministry of Defense officially informed Operative Information Center-OMM that the meeting serves as a vital component of the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Evaluation and Feedback program. During the event, participants discussed the planning and preparation status of the "Level 1 Self-Evaluation" (SEL-1) exercise of the OCC units, which is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in June of this year.

The primary objective of the meeting, involving Ministry of Defense officials and international experts, is to verify the combat readiness of newly declared units for the OCC program. Furthermore, the sessions involve the clarification and approval of evaluation criteria designed to determine the units' level of interoperability with NATO standards, as well as logistics and supply issues. This cooperation highlights Azerbaijan's ongoing commitment to modernizing its armed forces and enhancing international military partnerships to ensure regional security and stability.
