Bakı metrosu “Qarabağ”ın oyunu üçün iş rejimini dəyişir

Baku Metro CJSC will adjust its operational schedule to accommodate the influx of passengers for the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round match between Qarabag FC and Vestri (Iceland), scheduled to take place at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium tomorrow.

This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the joint-stock company.

According to the statement, the Ganjlik station, located near the stadium, will operate under an enhanced regime in accordance with the Baku Metro's operational plan for mass events. Given the expected high interest in the match and the priority of ensuring safe and comfortable passenger transport, the station will be equipped with additional control mechanisms. To manage the crowd, a special duty roster has been prepared, and auxiliary staff will be deployed. Primary focus will be placed on assisting passengers in navigating the station, particularly following the conclusion of the match. Furthermore, precautionary measures will be implemented at the Narimanov and 28 May stations.

Trains will operate according to the summer weekday schedule throughout the day. If necessary, reserve trains will be dispatched to the lines. Following the conclusion of the match, train movements will be regulated under a special protocol, taking into account the operational requirements of the Ganjlik station.

Qarabag FC, based in Aghdam, is Azerbaijan's most successful football club in European competitions. The club frequently hosts international matches at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, a historic venue in Baku that often serves as the home ground for major European fixtures, necessitating coordinated logistical support from the city's public transport infrastructure.
