Significant traffic congestion has been observed on several main roads and avenues in Baku. According to the Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM), heavy vehicle flow is currently affecting major arteries connecting the city center with suburban areas and neighboring districts.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the NIIM has identified several high-traffic zones, including the Baku–Sumgait highway toward the "20 January" metro station, Binagadi highway toward "Azadlig Avenue" metro station, and Tbilisi Avenue heading toward the city center. Other affected areas include Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, Heydar Aliyev Avenue (both main and auxiliary roads), 8 November Avenue, and Yusif Safarov Street. The NIIM advises drivers to consider alternative routes and account for road conditions to ensure timely arrival at their destinations.

Traffic management in Baku remains a key focus for the capital's infrastructure development, particularly during morning and evening peak hours. The Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) utilizes a comprehensive network of cameras and sensors to monitor road conditions in real-time, providing essential data to commuters in Azerbaijan. These efforts are part of a broader national strategy to enhance urban mobility, improve road safety, and optimize the efficiency of the capital's transport network.
