Traffic congestion reported on major roads in Baku

Traffic congestion has been observed on several major roads in Baku, impacting the flow of vehicles across the capital.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation.

As of the latest report, heavy traffic is being recorded at the following locations:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station toward the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, on the service road toward the city center;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the city center;
  • Babek Avenue, in the direction of the city center;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Khatai Avenue, in the direction of Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
  • Koroglu Rahimov Street, from the intersection with Academician Hasan Aliyev Street toward Heydar Aliyev Avenue.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to optimize urban mobility. As the capital continues to expand, managing traffic density on primary arteries remains a priority for municipal authorities to ensure the efficient movement of public transport and private vehicles during peak hours.
