In an effort to improve accessibility to public catering facilities and recreational areas located in pedestrian-friendly zones of Baku, the city has launched a new service featuring complimentary electric shuttle minibuses.
This information was reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
According to the official statement, two specific routes have been established: C1, connecting Khagani Garden to the end of Zarifa Aliyeva Street, and C2, running from Sabir Garden to the end of Aziz Aliyev Street.
The shuttles are scheduled to operate on weekends and public holidays between 12:00 and 00:00, with a service interval of 7 to 10 minutes. This initiative is part of broader efforts by the Baku municipal authorities to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the historic city center, where several streets have been converted into pedestrian zones to promote tourism and improve the urban environment.
