The "EFES-2026" multinational joint exercise continues in Turkey with the participation of a group of servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army.
According to the Ministry of Defense, which provided information to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the latest stage of the maneuvers involved representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Albania, Niger, Nigeria, and Romania. The participants conducted specialized training focused on searching caves, shelters, and tunnels, alongside intensive mountaineering preparation. Azerbaijani servicemen demonstrated high-level expertise and professionalism while executing tasks designed to simulate real combat conditions on steep cliffs and challenging terrain.
The EFES series is recognized as one of the largest and most significant multinational military exercises hosted by Turkey, aimed at enhancing the interoperability and combat readiness of allied forces. These maneuvers typically involve land, sea, and air components, focusing on combined joint operations and the synchronization of diverse military units. Azerbaijan's consistent participation in such international drills underscores the country's commitment to modernizing its armed forces and strengthening military cooperation with regional and international partners.
