Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is set to resume its flight services to Tel Aviv, Israel, starting from May 3. The national carrier will operate daily flights between Baku and Tel Aviv, restoring a key air link between the two nations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing AZAL, tickets are already available for purchase via the airline's official website and mobile application. The airline had previously suspended flights to the Israeli city on February 28, citing security developments in the Middle East and subsequent airspace restrictions.
The resumption of flights underscores the strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, particularly in the fields of tourism and economic cooperation. Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku serves as a major regional hub, and the restoration of this route is expected to facilitate increased travel and business exchanges. Azerbaijan has consistently maintained a strategic partnership with Israel, and the safety of civil aviation remains a priority for the national carrier amidst regional geopolitical dynamics.
