The Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan has held a meeting to review several license applications for broadcasting services. Following a comprehensive evaluation of the submitted documents and economic justifications, as well as the results of on-site inspections, the Council decided to grant a license to "Kinobox" LLC as an on-demand broadcast service provider.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Council also approved the application of "Mahni" LLC. Based on the review of the applicant's technical and software capabilities, the company was granted a platform broadcaster license (non-satellite) for its television channel, "Mahni" TV. Additionally, the Council addressed a request from "Aznet Technologies" CJSC regarding its change in legal status. Consequently, the licenses for "Aznet" and "Araznet" operator services were re-registered under "Aznet Technologies" LLC.
The Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan serves as the primary regulatory body overseeing radio and television broadcasting in Azerbaijan. Established to ensure the implementation of state policy in the field of audiovisual media, the Council monitors compliance with legislation, manages the allocation of frequencies, and issues licenses to various media outlets.
