The official visit of the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, to Serbia is currently underway.

It was reported that within the framework of the visit, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the Azerbaijani delegation.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, the parties discussed the prospects for developing mutual relations in the fields of military cooperation and the defense industry.
Following the meeting, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov visited the "Slobodiste" Memorial Complex located in the city of Krusevac. He laid a wreath at the monument erected in memory of the victims of the Second World War, expressing his deep respect and reverence.
Azerbaijan and Serbia have consistently strengthened their bilateral ties in recent years, with defense cooperation emerging as a key pillar of this partnership. Such high-level visits are instrumental in fostering strategic dialogue and exploring new avenues for collaboration between the two nations' military-industrial sectors.
